This post is dedicated to ScotchBlue™Painter’s Tape Original Multi-Use. This is my first post as a DIY blogger.
With ScotchBlue™’s help and using the DIY Fruit Slice Umbrellas post instructions by Kelly Lanza of Studio DIY (http://www.studiodiy.com/), I want to show you how easy it is to create a DIY Watermelon Slice Umbrella.
Here we go:
Materials Needed: (1) Red Umbrella – I brought mine online http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00AWMRMPW/ref=ox_ya_os_product_refresh_T1. You can find it cheaper at http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F6C9DGE/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00F6C9DGE&linkCode=as2&tag=notablinspir-20&linkId=2F5EWQR5J3FBLZIG and http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005983L4U/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B005983L4U&linkCode=as2&tag=notablinspir-20&linkId=4FZKLSURTSOBGN2C
(2) Fabric Friendly Paint in Green, White and Black
(3) ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape Original Multi-Use (2090)
(4) Paint brush, scissors and small ruler
Using your ScotchBlue™ Painter’s Tape Original Multi-Use (2090), tape two inches from bottom edge of your red umbrella. Tape one panel at a time. Use small pieces of tape for curves. Press the tape onto the umbrella to “seal” for a solid application.
Paint from tape edge to bottom umbrella edge green. Follow the directions on your paint bottle for drying and curing times. You will need to paint at least two coats. Pull tape off after painting.
